Greetings,

Welcome to the Bonne Terre Police Department.  The Bonne Terre Police Department is a fully staffed full service department.  The department is comprised of 10 full time officers, 6 part time officers, and 4 auxiliary officers.  The department operates from a state of the art facility in the lower level of Bonne Terre City Hall.

Each year the Bonne Terre Police Department responds to approximately 30,000 plus calls for service.  In addition to those calls for service the department’s traffic and patrol divisions complete approximately 500 plus traffic contacts yearly.

The department is responsible for an area of 7.3 square miles and a population of 6,500 plus residents.  The City of Bonne Terre is home to 2 large schools, a hospital, and the Missouri Department of Corrections Eastern Reception and Diagnostic Center.  The city also is home to several industries, businesses, and residences.  Bonne Terre also has a fully operational airport.

U.S. Highway 67 runs through our city limits as well as State Highways 47, K, and E.

The Bonne Terre Police Department is organized  into 8 hour shifts allowing 2-4 officers on at all hours.  The department is equipped with the latest equipment and training techniques.  The department also has a detective and training division.
